ABOUT US
SHAWNA
I photograph intimate weddings and elopements with intention, emotion, and a little bit of edge. My approach is simple: your photos should feel like you. Real, raw and timeless, not stiff or performative. I'm here to catch the unplanned magic and the editorial moments that make your story look and feel as fabulous as you do.
I'm an INFJ, intuitive to my core. Which means I'll sense when you need a deep breath or a pep talk. I'll fix your veil, find your light, wrangle your people, and keep things calm when it matters most. From your first look to the last song, I'm right there documenting the tears, the laughter and everything in between.

aka your Bay Area Photographer for the wildly in love.
HOME BASE: SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
FAVORITE DETOURS: LAS VEGAS, NASHVILLE AND WHEREVER YOUR "I DO" TAKES US.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me lost in a fantasy novel (still bitter that dragons aren't real), knitting something cozy, or tracking down the best dim sum in town for a date night with my husband. These are the little joys that keep me grounded, so when your day comes I can show up fully ready to capture everything.

PATRICK
He’s my husband, biggest cheerleader, and the behind-the-scenes muscle that keeps Shawna GD Photography running smoothly. While I’m capturing your love story, Patrick’s the one hauling gear, keeping things organized, and making sure every detail is handled. The bodyguard you didn't know you needed!
When he’s not helping me, he’s knee-deep in a home project (usually involving power tools) or lending his eye for design to his family’s balloon décor business, which means he’s got a secret talent for transforming spaces and making things look amazing.
Basically, he’s the steady energy that keeps the magic flowing.
aka the calm to my creative chaos.
